Devon Taplin is a multimedia artist from Colorado currently based in New York. Her work in both photography and ceramics explores the relationship between light, color, and texture, creating inviting pieces that capture the viewer and bring them into explore her world. In an effort to decode the nuances of memory, her work seeks to shed light on the ever-changing nature of perception, urging the viewer to notice where form buckles and balloons, and where shadows fall across the ground. Whether she's close to home or across an ocean, her camera stays by her side, and she is always keeping her eyes open for shapes and movement that could influence her artistic practice.
